Meeting Other Dragon Mages
The sun dipped below the horizon, casting an ethereal golden hue upon the Academy grounds. Russel, wearing his characteristic robes adorned with dragon motifs, stood at the edge of the summoning circle. Beside him, Aria looked expectantly at the horizon.
"You're sure they'll come?" she asked, biting her lower lip.
Russel smiled reassuringly. "The Dragon's Heart hasn’t failed me yet. They'll come."
As if on cue, a magnificent vortex of light formed in the center of the circle. Emerging from it were figures that looked remarkably human, but the powerful magical auras they emitted were anything but ordinary.
Leading the group was a woman with fiery red hair that seemed to dance like flames. She bore a striking dragon emblem on her chest. Behind her was a tall, lean man, his eyes shimmering with a light that resembled the night sky. Two others followed, one with wings that folded behind her back, and another whose skin glimmered like scales under the dying sun.
The fiery-haired woman stepped forward, extending her hand. "You must be Russel of the Raymond lineage. I am Fyra, a Dragon Mage from the Ember Realm."
Russel took her hand, feeling the warmth of her power. "Welcome, Fyra. This is an honor."
The winged woman, feathers shimmering with iridescent colors, introduced herself next. "I am Lysandra of the Skyrealm. Your call intrigued me."
The starry-eyed man nodded, "Arion of the Starfold. It's rare for realms to reach out in such a manner."
Finally, the scaled mage bowed slightly, "Triton, from the Abyssal Depths."
Russel gestured towards Aria, "This is Aria, a fellow mage and close confidante."
Aria nodded in greeting, her eyes wide with fascination. "Welcome to our realm. It's a pleasure to host such esteemed visitors."
The evening was filled with tales of their respective realms. Fyra spoke of vast volcanic landscapes where dragons danced amidst molten rivers. Lysandra painted images of floating islands and dragons that soared above the clouds, their cries harmonizing with the winds. Arion told tales of cosmic dragons, their bodies adorned with constellations, guiding mages through the vastness of space. Triton described a world of deep oceans, where water dragons weaved through coral castles, their songs echoing in the abyss.
Russel, in turn, shared his own journey, the legacy of the Dragon's Heart, and his dreams for a united front of dragon mages.
"I called you here," Russel began, his tone becoming serious, "not just to share tales, but to propose an alliance. Our realms, though diverse, are bound by the essence of the dragon. Together, we can ensure the continuation of dragon magic and protect our realms from threats that no single realm can handle."
Fyra leaned forward, her eyes intense. "You speak of unity, but what do you propose?"
Russel unveiled a magnificent scroll, on which the Dragon's Heart had imprinted a design. "A council, one where representatives from each dragon realm come together. We can call it the Dragon Council."
Arion looked thoughtful. "This council... it would be a place of mutual respect, shared learning, and combined defense?"
Russel nodded. "Exactly. We would stand united, each realm retaining its autonomy, but with a shared commitment to dragon magic's preservation."
Triton, the quietest of the group, finally spoke. "I've felt disturbances in the magic fabric. Your proposal comes at a crucial time."
Lysandra added, "The Skyrealm too has sensed these anomalies. Alone, we might falter, but together, we stand a chance."
The evening turned into night, and as the first light of dawn approached, the foundation for the Dragon Council was laid. Each Dragon Mage pledged their allegiance, marking the beginning of an alliance that would change the course of magical history.
As they departed, Fyra turned to Russel, her fiery hair reflecting the rising sun. "The Ember Realm stands with you, Dragon-Devouring Mage. This is the dawn of a new era."
Russel watched as the vortex closed behind them, Aria beside him. "We've taken the first step, Aria."
She smiled, looping her arm with his. "And with every step, we'll write a new area for all magical realms."
The sun ascended, casting a brilliant light on the Academy grounds, symbolic of the bright future that awaited.
