Chapter 8

Lost and Alone

Jasper felt a heavy weight pressing down on his chest as he watched Yuliana being taken away by her new family. Tears streamed down his face, his heart breaking with each step she took away from him. It felt as if a part of him had been torn away, leaving him feeling lost and alone in a world that suddenly seemed empty.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, but Jasper couldn't shake off the emptiness that consumed him. He would often find himself staring at the spot where he last saw Yuliana, hoping that she would magically reappear. But deep down, he knew that she was gone, starting a new life with people who were not him.

The orphanage became a desolate place without Yuliana's vibrant presence. The laughter that once filled the halls was replaced by a haunting silence. Jasper would spend hours in the yard, gazing up at the sky, hoping to catch a glimpse of a shooting star that could grant his wish for Yuliana to come back to him.

His friends at the orphanage, like Martin and Sofia, tried to console him, but their words offered little comfort. No one could understand the depth of his pain and longing for Yuliana. The thought of her living a life without him was unbearable, and he couldn't help but wonder if she felt the same way.

As the years passed, Jasper grew into a young man. He dedicated himself to his studies, hoping that one day he would be able to find Yuliana and bring her back into his life. He had a burning determination to reunite with her, to make up for the lost years they spent apart.

But the city was vast, and its secrets were well-hidden. Jasper found himself engulfed in a world of shadows and uncertainty. He spent countless hours poring over old newspapers, searching for any mention of Yuliana's name or any clue that could lead him to her. But the search proved fruitless, and he felt himself losing hope.

Still, he refused to give up. He knew that Yuliana was out there somewhere, waiting for him. He could feel it in his heart. He continued to comb through the city, talking to anyone who might have information about her. His determination was unwavering, his love for Yuliana a guiding light in the darkness.

As Jasper delved deeper into his quest, he discovered a network of people who were connected to Yuliana's past. There were whispers of a man named Jean, a man who held the key to the truth Jasper so desperately sought. He was determined to find Jean, to uncover the secrets that had torn Yuliana away from him all those years ago.

But with each step forward, Jasper couldn't help but wonder if Yuliana still remembered him. Did she think about him as often as he thought about her? Did she still feel the same love that he felt? The uncertainty gnawed at him, but he refused to let it deter him from his mission.

Jasper was determined to find Yuliana, to bring her back into his life. The years of separation had only fueled his love for her, and he knew that nothing could stand in his way. He would follow the trail of secrets and lies, no matter where it led him, because he knew that at the end of it all, he would find Yuliana and they would finally be together again.
