Chapter 34

A Daughter's Wrath

Yuliana's heart raced as she approached Jean, her fists clenched tightly. The room felt suffocating, the air heavy with tension. She could see the fear in Jean's eyes, a flicker of guilt that he struggled to hide. This was the moment she had been waiting for, the chance to confront her father's murderer.

"You thought you could get away with it, didn't you?" Yuliana spat, her voice filled with anger and determination. "You thought you could ruin my father's life and walk away without facing any consequences."

Jean's face paled, his lips trembling as he attempted to form a response. But Yuliana wasn't interested in his excuses. She had gathered enough evidence, enough proof of his involvement in her father's downfall. She had no doubt in her mind about his guilt.

"I have all the evidence, Jean," Yuliana continued, her voice steady but filled with venom. "Your connections, your dirty dealings. It's all here, right in front of me."

She pulled out a stack of documents from her bag, tossing them onto the table in front of Jean. Papers detailing the illegal transactions, the bribes, and the backdoor deals that had led to her father's demise.

"You destroyed my family," Yuliana's voice wavered, her eyes welling up with tears. "You took away everything that was dear to me. But now, it's time for you to pay."

Jean's face contorted with a mix of fear and anger. He stood up, his fists clenched tightly. "You don't understand," he hissed through gritted teeth. "You think you know everything, but you have no idea what I've been through."

Yuliana's blood boiled at his audacity. "I don't care what you've been through," she seethed. "Nothing justifies what you did to my father. You deserve to suffer, just like he did."

Jean lunged towards Yuliana, his hands reaching out to grab her. But before he could lay a finger on her, Jasper stepped in between them, blocking Jean's path.

"Stay away from her," Jasper growled, his voice low and dangerous. He towered over Jean, his presence commanding and protective.

Jean sneered at Jasper, his face contorted with hatred. "You're just a fool, Jasper. You think you can save her? You're both doomed."

But Jasper remained unfazed, his gaze unwavering. "I won't let you hurt her anymore," he said, his voice filled with determination. "We know the truth now, Jean. Your reign of terror ends here."

Yuliana watched the exchange between the two men, a mix of emotions coursing through her. She felt a surge of gratitude towards Jasper for being there for her, for standing up to the man who had caused so much pain. But at the same time, she couldn't shake off the lingering anger and thirst for revenge.

As the standoff continued, Yuliana realized that this confrontation was not the end of her journey. It was merely a stepping stone towards the justice she sought. She had to find a way to bring Jean down, to make him pay for his crimes. And she knew that it wouldn't be easy.

With a newfound resolve, Yuliana took a step back, her eyes fixed on Jean. "You won't get away with this, Jean," she said, her voice steady. "I will make sure that you face the consequences of your actions, no matter what it takes."

Jean's face contorted with a mix of anger and fear, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape. But Yuliana knew that she had him cornered. She had the evidence, the determination, and the support of those who believed in her.

As she turned to leave the room, Yuliana felt a mix of emotions swirling within her. She knew that her battle was far from over, that there were still many obstacles to overcome. But she was ready to face them head-on, fueled by her unwavering desire for justice and her unbreakable bond with Jasper.

Together, they would uncover the truth and bring Jean to his knees. No matter the cost.
